Reviews
The ramen is above average but the dumplings are quite oily. Overall it's a good ramen restaurant.
This is a bowl of recollective memories.
It’s used to open in Shamshuipo and few years ago it closed. Few years later some of my mates shared a bowl of familiar ramen on Facebook, in which I realize this ramen shop has already reopened in SSP, and already had few more shops in Tsuen Wan and Kwun Tong.
So this afternoon, took some time to visit for the ramen again in Tseun Wan shop. The soup is still rich, full of miso and pork flavors with loads of pork backfat. That’s what I am looking for when I want to have a bowl of Kyushu ramen. The hanjuku egg is well soft boiled and sweet enough. Chashu is as expected nice and in huge portion, together with the suitable portion ramen make you more than full to walk out the restaurant.
The restaurant has a decent decoration, which is not that packed and you can enjoy the ramen with some space on a bar table. And the wall paintings are nice enough to remind myself in a well served Japanese ramen shop.
I would definitely come back for the ramen, if I miss Nippon again.
Have been to here for few times.
Always come back because of the light pork bone soup base as well as the Japanese chashu. The chashu are thinly sliced and very tender!
Also, you can choose a stronger and thicker soup base.
Tried the gyoza as well and they were pan fried nicely, crispy dumpling base and very thin dumpling skin which I love soooo much!
Must definitely come back :)
Very good.
Ramen broth was good, had good large slices of the cha shu
Expect a queue unless you turn up before it opens
Small place but very good ramen. Not a lot of choices but they are all good.
Best ramen in town. My go-to ramen shop for years. They always keep up the expectations.
The new spicy ramen are really spicy. Advise people don't eat it if you can't eat spicy food in your daily life
